What is Tae Kwon Do?
Tae Kwon Do is a Korean martial art. (Wikipedia) At TMAC, a traditional style of Tae Kwon Do is taught. Although this martial art maintains a strong emphasis on kicks and punches, students are taught skills that will benefit them throughout life in an enriched and positive environment.
TMAC has been providing the Tehachapi community with instruction in Tae Kwon Do since 1991.
What can one expect learn?
Tae Kwon Do is based on discipline and self improvement, while encouraging self confidence and character building. Through this, students will learn self defense and most importantly, how to avoid situations in which they may have to use self defense. Respect for oneself and others is also an important aspect of the learning experience.For children attending school, parents often see a marked improvement in grades.
Who can benefit from these classes?
Potential students of all ages and abilities can benefit from these classes. All that is required is a willingness to learn. Special classes are offered for children ages 3-6. Also offered are classes for special needs. Please visit our facility for more information.
